Ian F.G. Dunn

Ian F.G. Dunn is a North Carolina born photographer living and working in downtown Raleigh. Having been taught the workings of a traditional wet darkroom at the age of 10, his love of hand-printing and processing has remained steadfast throughout the infancy of our digital age. Ian’s work focuses on structure and balance found in the landscapes of rural and urban North Carolina. His photographs attempt to reveal abstractions from scenes often viewed but rarely observed. The, arguably, objective quality of “rightness” is continually sought out, kneaded, and explored. In addition to landscapes, Ian also makes ambrotype and tintype portraits using a photographic process from the 1850’s.

Chris Charles

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY with dreams of becoming an architect, Chris studied Architectural Engineering at SUNY Farmingdale College of Technology prior to a “short” 12 year stint as a US Army Paratrooper (random, but true)…all the while honing his skills in coffee making and chocolate cake eating. After some years in the private sector as an IT professional Chris then earned a degree in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham and has been able to use his technical training and natural ability to successfully carve a niche for himself in the local and national markets. Be it full branding, photography or collateral design for corporate marketing campaigns, Chris has become well known for being a craftsman who doesn’t mind getting dirty to accomplish the objective at hand. Chris’ client list includes Red Bull, Spike Lee, Moleskine, Durham County, and many local and nationally recognized artists.

Elizabeth Galecke

I started my study of photography with my first class in black and white photography and darkroom in high school. I graduated from college in Austin with a BA in Photocommunications and then moved to Raleigh to start my business a few years later. I just celebrated 22 years of my business here this year! I love working with people, creating memories that they and their families will treasure, hopefully for years to come. When I am not out photographing people, I am out in the world exploring and taking photographs of quiet landscape vignettes, things I notice in front of me in my everyday life. This is my #eyeswideopen project and I am super excited about it! If not out taking photos, you can find me in the kitchen trying out new vegetarian recipes or making up my own, getting out with friends listening to music or checking out the amazing art in the Triangle! It’s been super fun to see the growth and changes in Raleigh over the years and to become a part of the community by getting involved!

I am a super-fun photographer specializing candid kids, head shots, models, weddings, commercial and editorial work! While primarily a natural light photographer, I do love to mix it up with off the beaten path locations, disco music and whatever general shenanigans get me the great shots.

John Brown

Born in Charleston, SC raised in Raleigh, NC. One would say “you are a Carolinas baby.” I acknowledged my creative mind when I turned eight years old. I loved to draw and color. I won multiple coloring contests. I always had my mind on being a NBA superstar. My mom always told me to have a back up plan. After taking my first graphics class in high school, I never knew that it would be my turning point to my success and entrepreneurship. I studied graphics while attending North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC. I picked up photography along the way a few years after. I have been designing graphics and photographing professionally since 2008. I describe my graphics and photography as creative love. I put my mind and soul into all of my work. My focus is to see my clients walk out with a smile full of memories. I am grateful every day to be blessed with a fulfilling job and loving family.

Tony Pearce

Tony Pearce images

Tony Pearce is a Raleigh-based photographer with over 30 years of experience who stills absolutely loves what he does. His list of clients runs the gamut from Lenovo to Burt’s Bees to Teen People. His portraiture gets to the heart of the matter, exuding authenticity. “I find my inspiration in restraint,” he says. “Without the distractions of extra props or obvious retouching, my subjects have room to just be.” We think Tony’s humanity and humor also shine through in every one of his portraits.
