Stir the Pot for Southern Foodways Alliance

This weekend marks the 10th Raleigh helping of STIR THE POT sponsored by Poole’s Diner in support of Southern Foodways Alliance‘s documentary projects. Steven Satterfield of Miller Union (Atlanta) will be the guest chef at a wine dinner at Poole’s on Sunday evening.

This Monday’s potluck segment of STIR THE POT moves to CAM Raleigh. Poole’s will prepare a main dish of Low Country Boil to honor chef Steven’s Savannah roots. Bida Manda, Raleigh’s first Laotian restaurant and bar designed a seasonal cocktail and Les Stewart + crew of Raleigh’s new brewery, Trophy Brewing, will feature a delicious craft beer. Guests are asked to bring a side dish or dessert that celebrates your sense of place, wherever that may be. Special guest and SFA filmmaker Joe York will be on hand to show his work. Come raise a glass and share a bite with with Steven, Ashley, Joe, and plenty of Triangle-area SFA friends!
Ashley Christensen and the SFA thank Eliza Kraft Olander for underwriting all of the wines for the Stir the Pot series and Frank Thompson + AV Metro for their generous support.
