February 16, 2013 / 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. / $30
Open to grades 9-12
In this workshop, students will get to meet and work with exhibiting artist Ryan Travis Christian on a large collaborative piece to be exhibited at CAM Raleigh! Ryan will introduce students to new techniques in drawing as a contemporary medium. In keeping with Ryan’s exhibition at CAM Raleigh, Well, Here We Aren’t Again, students will be given panels on which to draw their own personal bizarre, surreal, weird experience. Ryan will prepare a complex background in his style and the group will work together to collage the panels onto the background, creating a large piece to be viewed at the Museum. For students interested in drawing, collaborating, learning new styles and having their work on display, this workshop is for you!
