High School Workshop: LOL GIFs Made IRL

Animated GIF workshop with Jacob Ciocci

In this one-day workshop, students will work with internationally renowned artist Jacob Ciocci to make animated gif portraits of themselves using both analog and digital technologies. At the end of the workshop you will be able to: make an animated GIF using the free online application 3Frames, print it out, collage on top of it using traditional scrapbook supplies, re-scan your new collaged animated GIF, and post it to your favorite website!!! (Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, etc).

This workshop is taught by Jacob Ciocci, an artist, musician, professor and current fellow at Eyebeam, an art-and-technology center in New York. He is a member of Paper Rad, an arts collective and is an exhibiting artist in Born Digital, opening January 28 at CAM Raleigh.
