Hey World

Hello! My name is Mike and I’m one of the exhibition interns here at CAM Raleigh. I’m currently working towards my Masters of Industrial Design here at NCSU, but I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in my undergraduate career so I’m especially thrilled about my opportunity to work with a museum that’s at the forefront of exhibition innovation. It doesn’t hurt that the staff at CAM Raleigh is filled with the nicest people in Raleigh (and maybe the world?).

The past few months (and beyond) have been spent preparing for our opening exhibition. As you may already know, we announced our inaugural artists: Dan Steinhilber and Naoko Ito. I had the pleasure of assisting the artists with their installations while they were here. I had a blast!

They let me inside, I was a happy camper

I can’t wait for the doors to open to the public so that everyone can experience the awesome work we have in the exhibition. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with some teaser shots of a few of my favorite pieces (my absolute favorite piece can’t be captured on film so you’ll just have to come see it for yourself when we open!):

Hope to see you all soon at CAM Raleigh!
