COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

FREE First Fridays:

CAM Raleigh is open late on the first Friday of every month. Visitors can experience after-hours access to museum exhibitions, food trucks in the courtyard, music by local DJs, and occasional special performances. Be sure to visit the creation station for hands-on activities inspired by the exhibitions on view. The creation station is open from 6:30-9:00pm during First Friday.

Family Sundae Events:

CAM Raleigh offers special family-focused activities at its PNC Family Sundae events scheduled throughout the year. All PNC Family Sundae activities are free and include access to all of the changing exhibitions on view, middle school docent-led tours, Creation Station hands-on arts activities, an interactive Create your own sundae activity where the ice cream is the canvas and the toppings are the paint, and CAM-to-Go art projects that families can take home.

Urban Sketching Group:

The CAM Raleigh Urban Sketching Group is a monthly group intended for all skill levels interested in exercising, exploring or expanding their drawing skills.

The museum will become a studio space for emerging artists and creative community members to make new art and explore CAM's current exhibitions. Each month new materials and tools will be provided in a casual, facilitated studio environment. Find inspiration in our exhibitions, experiment with new ideas, participate in the conversation, and connect with other artists! All materials are free thanks to Jerry's ArtaRama!
