Hello! My name is Rocio and I’m the Education Intern at CAM Raleigh. My internship has focused on the partnership that CAM Raleigh has with New Sense Studios. This program offers the youth in our community an opportunity to express themselves through Design and Art to better their skills. I find this to be very important for the youth in our community to experiment with their artistic abilities at a young age.

Hey World

Hello! My name is Mike and I’m one of the exhibition interns here at CAM Raleigh. I’m currently working towards my Masters of Industrial Design here at NCSU, but I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in my undergraduate career so I’m especially thrilled about my opportunity to work with a museum that’s at the forefront of exhibition innovation. It doesn’t hurt that the staff at CAM Raleigh is filled with the nicest people in Raleigh (and maybe the world?).

The past few months (and beyond) have been spent preparing for our opening exhibition. As you may already know, we announced our inaugural artists: Dan Steinhilber and Naoko Ito. I had the pleasure of assisting the artists with their installations while they were here. I had a blast!

The Graphic Design Intern Experience

Hello! I’m Christine Fleming, the Design Camp Graphic Design Intern for CAM Raleigh. I do a variety of graphic design work for Design Camp, as well as some administrative tasks during the camper registration process. I have also been able to attend a few CAM Raleigh meetings discussing the purpose and functionality of the museum which enabled me to see behind-the-scenes of a museum and witness the relationship between the staff and board members and how they interact and work together.

An intern’s view

Hi all! I’m Jenn, one of CAM Raleigh’s exhibition interns, and I thought I would show off a little of the behind-the-scenes work we’ve been doing in preparation for the museum opening.

Hopefully many of you have already seen the huge paper sign that now covers the Martin St. gallery windows. What you probably don’t know is what a massive undertaking it was to hang this thing! The sign arrived as about 20 separate strips of printer paper like this…
