CAM Raleigh Celebrates Second Anniversary with Arthouse 2013
Party/ Art + Culture Auction

Raleigh, April 2013—Over the last two years CAM Raleigh has become the local source for ground-breaking contemporary art exhibitions and educational art/design programs in downtown Raleigh’s Warehouse District. The museum is celebrating on May 10 with Arthouse 2013, a fundraiser, silent auction and party that promises to be Raleigh’s freshest and most creative evening. Arthouse 2013 features an impressive silent auction with incredible art and one-of-a kind experiences, video art installations, live performance art, beverages by local mixologists and innovative cuisine from award-winning chefs Ashley Christensen (Poole’s Downtown Diner, Chuck’s, Beasley’s Chicken + Honey) and Scott Crawford (Herons at The Umstead Hotel and Spa).

This magical evening of art and community will hosted by special guest emcee, Pierce Freelon, a North Carolina musician and scholar that will bring his unique energy and renowned talent to CAM Raleigh for the first time. He will be accompanied by members of his band, The Beast, throughout the evening.

Auction items in every price range include art created exclusively for CAM Raleigh and the very best from local artists, performing arts tickets, rare wines, handcrafted and designer objects and accessories, design-related books and more. All proceeds from Arthouse support CAM Raleigh programs, exhibitions and operations.

Arthouse kicks off at 7pm with a special Host Committee Hour including a performance by Pierce Freelon. General admission begins at 8pm. CAM Raleigh member tickets are $115, Non-members $135, CAM/now (young professionals group) tickets $65. Host Committee members are invited to attend the Host Committee Hour, get their bids in early and receive special recognition at the event. Host committee tickets are $200 each and $350 per couple.
