Q: What happens when an icon of Modernism
meets the design elite of The Triangle?
A: Find out at CAM on First Friday
For decades, Eames chairs have been symbols of modernity, sophistication and inspiration. Alfred Williams & Company and Herman Miller proudly present the Good Design Challenge 2014 at CAM Raleigh. Ten of the premier design firms in the Triangle were invited to explore the heights of their creativity, using Eames molded plastic side chairs as their canvas. Perkins and Will, Cline Design, Gensler, Hager Smith, LS3P, IA, JDavis, Phillips, Clark Nexsen, and Jacobs have each created a functional work of art with the chair. The chairs will be on display at First Friday and through the week.
A panel of judges will determine the overall winner and you are invited to determine the People’s Choice. People’s Choice will be determined by the chair that receives the most $ votes. Bring your singles, fives, tens and twenty's. All money raised benefits CAM Raleigh's education and community programs.
Limited Visibility is on view this First Friday and the evening also includes Moore Square Middle School Docents, exhibition inspired make and take projects in the Creation Station, surprise performances, Food Trucks and more.
