Art to Wear Summer Studio 1
June 17-21, 2013 / 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. / $400
Open to high school students, rising 9-12 grade
Art To Wear is a design studio with a focus on the use of unconventional materials to create wearable sculptures. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, current and historic trends in fashion design, and reclaimed materials, students will sketch, design, and create a series of sculptural garments. Students will be asked to stretch the limits of their creativity by considering the form, function, and context of the work they will produce. The only requirements are an open mind and a creative spirit.
